Best sermon clip generators in 2026, compared on price

By Team quso·

There are two kinds of tool here. Sermon Shots and Pulpit AI were built for churches, which shows up less in the clipping itself than in everything around it: they turn one sermon into discussion guides, devotionals, shareable quote graphics and a blog post, on the assumption that your small groups follow the series. quso.ai, OpusClip and Vizard are general clipping tools that churches happen to use. They cost less. They also do less that is specific to a church.

Which one suits you comes down to three things: how much video you actually process in a month, whether your recording has a picture at all, and whether anyone on your team wants the discussion guides enough to pay roughly double for them.

All prices below were checked on each company’s own pricing page on 11 September 2026.

The comparison

Tool Entry paid plan What that buys per month Free tier Accepts audio-only recordings
quso.ai $29/month, or $19/month billed yearly 100 credits, about one minute of video each 75 credits/month, 720p with a watermark, no card No — clips need video; audio goes to the writing tools
Sermon Shots $63/month, or $53/month billed yearly ($636/year) 10 hours of uploads, unlimited clips, transcription, livestream integration 2 free sermon clips Yes
Pulpit AI $39/month, or $421.20/year 5 file uploads, unlimited clips per upload 2 free uploads, no card Yes — audio, video, documents and slides
OpusClip $15/month (Starter) Watermark-free export, import from YouTube, Drive, Zoom and others Yes, with a watermark and a 3-day export window No
Vizard Not shown on the pricing page when checked Not shown 60 credits/month, watermark, 10-minute export cap No

Two gaps in that table are real and worth stating: Vizard’s paid prices did not render on its pricing page when we checked, and neither Sermon Shots nor Pulpit AI lists social scheduling on its pricing page, so we have not claimed either way.

Cost per minute of sermon

Churches are unusually predictable buyers. One service a week, give or take a midweek teaching, means you can work out your monthly volume before you sign up for anything, which makes cost per minute the honest comparison. It also reorders the table.

Plan Monthly price Video processed Cost per minute
quso.ai Growth $49 600 minutes $0.08
Sermon Shots Plus $63 600 minutes $0.11
quso.ai Essential $39 300 minutes $0.13
quso.ai Lite $29 100 minutes $0.29

Pulpit AI is missing from that table on purpose. It prices by upload rather than by minute, so five uploads at $39 costs the same whether your sermon runs 30 minutes or 90. Trim nothing and upload the whole service, and it is the cheapest structure here by some distance. Export just the sermon first, and it becomes the most expensive.

Where each one fits

quso.ai

Best for a church that already records video and wants clips, captions and scheduling in one place without paying church-software prices. A 45-minute sermon costs about 45 credits, so the free plan covers roughly one sermon a month and Essential at $39/month covers six. Free renders are 720p with a quso.ai watermark and cap at five minutes per download; paid renders are 1080p with no watermark. Plans that include scheduling post to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and Pinterest.

What it does not do: there is no sermon model, no Scripture awareness, and no discussion guides or devotionals. It ranks moments by predicted retention the same way it does for a podcast. It also needs a video file — an audio-only recording can produce a transcript, summary and quotes through the writing tools, but not clips. The weekly sermon workflow walks through what that looks like on a Monday.

Sermon Shots

Best for a church that wants the clips made for it. The free tier is two clips produced for you rather than a trial of the software, which tells you where the product’s centre of gravity is. Plus at $63/month includes 10 hours of uploads, full transcription, podcast audio and livestream integration. The Silver Suite at $67/month adds shareable sermon pages, quote and thumbnail generators, discussion guides, blog posts and five-day devotionals. Gold at $97/month adds dubbing into 40-plus languages.

The concession: nothing in the general clipping tools produces a five-day devotional from Sunday’s sermon, and for a church whose small groups follow the sermon series, that output may be worth more than the clips.

Pulpit AI

Best for a church with audio-only recordings, or with a lot of material that is not video at all. It accepts documents, slides, audio and video, and a single upload produces clips, summaries, transcripts, discussion guides, devotionals and blog posts. Basic is $39/month for 5 uploads, Standard $59 for 10, Pro $129 for 25. The free trial is two uploads with no card.

The upload-count pricing is the thing to check against your own habits. If the sound desk records the whole service and nobody trims it, upload pricing saves money. If you already export just the sermon, minute pricing does.

OpusClip

Best for a church that wants the cheapest watermark-free clipping and nothing else. Starter is $15/month and adds import from YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom, Rumble and StreamYard, a virality score, watermark-free export and posting to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram. Pro is $29/month. The free tier exports 1080p clips with a watermark and a three-day limit.

No church-specific anything, and the transcript and writing outputs are thinner than the tools above.

Vizard

Best for trying the idea before spending. The free plan gives 60 credits a month, equal to 60 minutes of video, with a watermark and a 10-minute cap on exported clips. One 45-minute sermon fits inside a month. Paid pricing was not visible on the pricing page when we checked, so compare it yourself before committing.

How to choose in one pass

  • Audio only, no camera. Pulpit AI or Sermon Shots. The general clipping tools cannot help until something records a picture.
  • You want discussion guides and devotionals. Sermon Shots Silver or Pulpit AI. Neither is optional-feature territory; it is the reason those products cost more.
  • You have video and you want clips, captions and a posting schedule. quso.ai or OpusClip. Compare on how many minutes a month you actually process.
  • One sermon a month and no budget. The free tiers: 75 credits on quso.ai, 60 on Vizard, two produced clips from Sermon Shots, two uploads on Pulpit AI.
  • A 90-minute service you never trim. Pulpit AI’s upload pricing.

The review step stays yours whichever you pick. Every tool here proposes clips, and not one of them knows which moment ought to be public, whether the person named in that story agreed to be named, or that the passage was Philippians rather than Philippines. Budget half an hour on Monday. The rest of the week mostly runs itself.
