10 styles, your font

Pick a caption preset, then upload your own font and set colors, outline and background. Download the video with captions burned in, or an SRT file on a paid plan.

How to add Hindi subtitles to a video

  1. Upload the video. Drop in an MP4, MOV, M4V or WebM file, or paste a YouTube link.
  2. Choose Hindi (हिन्दी). The language has to match the speech in the video.
  3. Check the text. Read the first minute in the Subtitles panel and fix anything the AI misheard.
  4. Style and download. Pick a caption style and font, then download the video with the captions burned in (720p with a watermark on the free plan, 1080p on paid plans) or, on a paid plan, the SRT file.

Hindi subtitles: what to check

  • Hinglish needs a read-through. Most Hindi videos mix in English words. Check how they come out in the first minute, then use Correct everywhere so a word like "subscribe" is spelled the same way in every line.
  • Decide on the script before you publish. Hindi is written in Devanagari. If your audience is used to Hindi in Roman letters ("aap kaise ho"), check the first lines and plan time to edit.
  • Give Devanagari room. The line along the top (the shirorekha) and the vowel signs above and below the letters need more height than Latin text. Set the caption size a step larger and keep it clear of the bottom edge on Shorts and Reels.
  • Pick Hindi, not Urdu, for Devanagari. Spoken Hindi and Urdu overlap a lot. Choose Hindi when you want Devanagari on screen and Urdu when you want Urdu script.

What the subtitles look like

A subtitle line from a video spoken in Hindi, as it looks in an exported SRT file:

1
00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:02,400
हमारे चैनल पर आपका स्वागत है।

Font: A Devanagari font such as Noto Sans Devanagari; upload it in the Subtitles panel if the preset font shows boxes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work for Hinglish videos?+
Pick Hindi for a video that is mostly Hindi with some English. Read the first minute to see how the English words come out, then fix any spelling you want to change with Correct everywhere so it stays the same through the whole video.
How do I add Hindi subtitles to a video?+
Upload the video to quso.ai, choose Hindi as the spoken language, check the text in the editor, pick a caption style and download the video with the subtitles burned in. On a paid plan you can also download an SRT file.
Can I download Hindi subtitles as an SRT file?+
Yes, on any paid plan: use the download icon in the editor’s Subtitles panel. The free plan downloads the video with the captions burned in. quso.ai doesn’t export VTT.
Can quso.ai translate a video into Hindi?+
