10 styles, your font

Pick a caption preset, then upload your own font and set colors, outline and background. Download the video with captions burned in, or an SRT file on a paid plan.

How to add Burmese subtitles to a video

  1. Upload the video. Drop in an MP4, MOV, M4V or WebM file, or paste a YouTube link.
  2. Choose Burmese (မြန်မာစာ). The language has to match the speech in the video.
  3. Check the text. Read the first minute in the Subtitles panel and fix anything the AI misheard.
  4. Style and download. Pick a caption style and font, then download the video with the captions burned in (720p with a watermark on the free plan, 1080p on paid plans) or, on a paid plan, the SRT file.

Burmese subtitles: what to check

  • Use a Unicode Myanmar font. Burmese text online has long been split between Unicode and the older Zawgyi encoding, and the two don’t display each other correctly. Upload a Unicode font such as Noto Sans Myanmar or Padauk.
  • Burmese doesn’t put spaces between most words. Word-by-word styles depend on where words split, so preview One Word and Two Word before you choose them. Basic Subtitles is the safe default.
  • Give the letters room. Burmese letters are round and stack vowel signs above and below. Raise the caption size a step and the line spacing with it.
  • Movie subtitles are a different job. quso.ai makes subtitles from the speech in your own video. It doesn’t translate films into Burmese.

What the subtitles look like

A subtitle line from a video spoken in Burmese, as it looks in an exported SRT file:

1
00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:02,400
ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ရဲ့ ချန်နယ်ကို ကြိုဆိုပါတယ်။

Font: A Unicode Myanmar font such as Noto Sans Myanmar or Padauk.
